XML Training

Extensible Markup Language (XML) is an industry standard method of encoding information for storage and transmission, in both a machine-readable and human-readable form.  It is defined in the XML 1.0 specification developed by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).

XML has many similarities to HTML, however there are two fundamental differences.  One of these difference being that whereas HTML was designed to display data with a focus on how the display looks, XML was designed to transport data from one place to another, and to store it.

Our training is a 1 day foundation workshop, which will cover:

  • An introduction to XML
  • Language Evolution
  • Document format
  • The use of tags in XML
  • Data storage using XML
  • Logical Interface Design
  • The Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP).
